Computer infrastructure
Khoury provides substantial computing resources for student work and faculty research, constantly upgrading applications and facilities to keep pace with industry trends and best practices. Our infrastructure includes:
- Three laboratories for student computation with a mix of Linux and Windows workstations
- Computing facilities connected via a switched Gigabit Ethernet network
- Wireless networking available throughout WVH
- Research and teaching environments serviced by a cadre of dedicated data servers, providing high-speed network storage support by a remote disaster recovery device and a server room full of high-end Dell servers
- Two distinct virtualization clusters for research and teaching purposes, currently totaling 12 hosts and increasing annually
Printers
The systems staff maintains many printers throughout WVH, 177 Huntington, Meserve Hall, and Nightingale Hall. These networked printers are free for Khoury students, faculty, and staff. WVH printers are easily accessible in hallways and common areas.
