My Background

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Scranton in 2019. For the past 3 years, I have been working as a business intelligence analyst for an e-commerce company that specializes in office and gift supplies. I am still in this position, while also being enrolled in the MSDS Align program.

My Future

The Align program interested me as an individual without a formal technical background. I have the business background to understand, analyze, and present past data. However, I was also interested in acquiring the technical tools to implement predictive analytics and have more insight of future trends, leading to improved decisions. I chose Khoury College of Computer Sciences for its Data Science Align program, allowing me to gain technical skills that will improve the insight I can provide at my company in my current role.

I have not yet been in the program for the necessary amount of time to be eligible for a co-op. However, I continue to work as a business intelligence analyst, and I have been able to relate my course load to the projects I work on within my company. I am currently working in e-commerce, and I am interested in advancing my skills to further improve decision-making across internal teams.
