I’ve had a lifelong fascination with computing technology, which started with a love for computer games and puzzle solving. I was the kid in 4th grade who brought in their own logic puzzles. I received my bachelor’s degree in mathematics and physics from Bates College in 2019, and now I am studying at Khoury College of Computer Sciences to fulfill the more technical aspects of my curiosity.
Prior to joining the Align program, I worked in an IT role at Carney, Sandoe & Associates for two years.
I chose Khoury College because of the Align program, my friends who had good experiences at Northeastern, and the great location. What interested me the most in the Align program was the wide breadth of experiences that my classmates would have, and the ability to enroll without a significant computer science background.
The Align bridge courses have been some of the best courses I’ve taken at Northeastern! The Align instructors are supportive and focus on community building, so you enter the master’s degree curriculum with strong fundamentals and a cohort with similar experience.
For the future, I am interested in green tech! The intersection of sustainability and technology is fundamental to a healthy future for the planet and for ourselves. It is work that is purposeful, essential, and exciting.
