I attended the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Systems. Upon graduation, I completed a full-time UX Design program at RED Academy and worked on several projects thereafter. I was interested in the computer science field because it uses both my creative and technical muscles, through design and problem solving. However, what I find sets CS apart from other fields is that you can build programs from almost nothing. It is so rewarding to see your impact almost immediately.
I chose the Align program because in the future I want to dive deep into CS without being limited by having a non-CS undergraduate degree. I chose Northeastern because the Align program offered all the courses essential to gain a deep foundation in CS. Although the Align courses are challenging, they are doable, especially with all the support of Teaching Assistants and professors.
