BS Chemical Engineering
University of Florida
I earned my BS in chemical engineering from the University of Florida. Most of my career has been focused on contributing to academic research projects in the areas of material science, chemistry, and biology. I currently work as chemist at a chemical manufacturer in San Francisco. As a chemist, I manage all of my laboratory’s data. In working to organize, study and contextualize this information, I developed an interest in using computer science applications to yield real-world solutions. This intrigue brought me to the Align program. The opportunity to learn the foundations of computer science alongside students from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, is what interested me the most about the Align program. Everyone brings something different to the table.
I intend to pursue a career developing new technologies at the intersection of computer science, chemistry and engineering.
