
BS in Data Science
The BS in Data Science studies the collection, manipulation, storage, retrieval, and computational analysis of data. You’ll gain knowledge in exploratory data analysis and manipulation, large-scale data storage, predictive analytics, machine learning, data mining, and more. The program combines computer science, math, statistics, and probability theory into a rigorous curriculum that prepares you for careers or graduate study in the field.

Byron Wallace
Byron Wallace is the Sy and Laurie Sternberg Interdisciplinary Associate Professor and director of the undergraduate data science program at Khoury College. He applies machine learning and natural language processing methods in the health informatics space, with the goal of developing hybrid human–AI systems and streamlining the synthesis of biomedical information.
