BS in Computer Science and Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
The BS in Computer Science and Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology combined major (Khoury College and Bouvé College of Health Sciences) is designed to facilitate critical thinking, information literacy, and oral and written communication skills. In this program, students have an opportunity to focus on the fundamentals of program design, software development, computer organization, systems and networks, theories of computation, principles of languages, and advanced algorithms and data.
This program is new for Fall 2024.

Learning outcomes
In this program, you’ll learn to:
- Apply mathematical foundations, algorithmic principles, and computer science theory in the modeling and design of systems in a way that demonstrates comprehension of the tradeoffs involved in design choices.
- Apply design principles in the construction of software systems of varying complexity.
- Use current techniques, skills, and tools necessary for effective and secure computing practice.

Matthew Goodwin
Matthew Goodwin is a professor at Khoury College, jointly appointed with the Bouvé College of Health Sciences. He works with people on the autism spectrum to develop and evaluate behavioral assessment and intervention technologies, enabling caregivers to more capably and compassionately assist their loved ones.
