BS in Data Science and Journalism
The BS in Data Science and Journalism is a combined major (Khoury College and the College of Media, Arts and Design) that will prepare you to understand and leverage data to uncover impactful stories and produce engaging, relevant journalism. You will learn to work with data in its various forms as you explore the principles, practices, and ethics of journalism. When you graduate, you’ll be able to extract meaning from massive information sources and utilize it in effective investigative reporting.

Hongyang Zhang is an assistant professor at Khoury College. He researches at the nexus of machine learning, algorithms, and statistics, and has helped to develop techniques for neural networks, data augmentation, and transfer learning.
