BS in Data Science and International Affairs

The combined BS in Data Science and International Affairs (Khoury College and the College of Social Sciences and Humanities) offers a strong data science foundation and an interdisciplinary understanding of global affairs and international issues — preparing you to harness the power of data on a global scale. When you graduate, you’ll have the skills and knowledge you need to work across cultures in fields that use data to address complex regional and international issues.

Learning outcomes

In this program, you’ll learn to:

  • Apply design principles in the  construction of software systems of varying complexity.
  • Use current techniques, skills, and tools necessary for effective and secure computing practice.
  • Apply mathematical foundations, algorithmic principles, and computer science theory in the modeling and design of computer-based systems in a way that demonstrates comprehension of the tradeoffs involved in design choices.
