BS in Computer Science and Political Science

The BS in Computer Science and Political Science combined major (Khoury College and the College of Social Sciences and Humanities) will give you an understanding of the role of technology in policymaking as you prepare to address global and societal challenges using computer science. Learn to respond to regional and global technological issues, examine pressing international security problems, and evaluate the agendas of national, international, and nongovernmental organizations.

Learning outcomes

In this program, you’ll learn to:

  • Apply design principles in the  construction of software systems of varying complexity.
  • Use current techniques, skills, and tools necessary for effective and secure computing practice.
  • Apply mathematical foundations, algorithmic principles, and computer science theory in the modeling and design of computer-based systems in a way that demonstrates comprehension of the tradeoffs involved in design choices.
