BS in Computer Science and Game Development

The BS in Computer Science and Game Development combined major (Khoury College and the College of Arts, Media and Design) gives you the foundational background you need to succeed in the highly competitive game industry. You will build and develop games and playable media experiences while completing courses in computer science, specialized game technology, and design. Through interdisciplinary courses and hands-on learning, you will develop your creative and entrepreneurial abilities as well as create a strong portfolio of game pieces.

Learning outcomes

In this program, you’ll learn to:

  • Apply design principles in the construction of software systems of varying complexity.
  • Use current techniques, skills, and tools necessary for effective and secure computing practice.
  • Apply mathematical foundations, algorithmic principles, and computer science theory in the modeling and design of computer-based systems in a way that demonstrates comprehension of the tradeoffs involved in design choices.
