PlusOne BS + MS Programs at Khoury College
The accelerated path to your master’s degree
If you’re a currently enrolled undergraduate student interested in pursuing your master’s degree, the PlusOne path is an ideal option for your educational journey. Northeastern’s PlusOne programs allow you to start earning your master’s degree while pursuing your undergraduate degree. Undergraduate students in Khoury College are allowed to count up to 16 credits (four courses) toward both their bachelor’s and master’s degrees — integrating graduate-level coursework into your undergraduate plan of study.
Benefits of the Plus One program include:
- Accelerated learning. Gain foundational computer science knowledge and experience while enhancing your undergraduate experience with graduate-level courses and participate in co-op for real-world experience.
- Less time — and money. Since you can take up to four graduate-level classes that count toward both your undergraduate and master’s degrees, you’ll reduce the time it typically takes to get your master’s, ideally by a full year — reducing overall costs in the process.
- A specialized or new direction. Gain advanced knowledge in your CS field, specialize in a complementary high-growth area, or take a new path.
- A competitive advantage. Choose from a variety of BS and MS PlusOne combinations within Khoury College and across the university to personalize your path and stand out.
