Biography

Brent Zhao is a PhD student at Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. He earned his bachelor’s in computer science and physics from UC Berkeley and is affiliated with the Systems Research Group.

Zhao’s research focus is computer and operating systems, and his current project focuses on using verified machine-learning models to improve certain components of computer systems, such as learned index structures. He is also interested in the formal verification of neural networks. His faculty advisors are Cheng Tan and Pete Manolios.

Outside of the lab, Zhao enjoys trying different types of coffee.
