Yasmil Montes is an assistant director of experiential education, operations, and strategy, and a senior co-op coordinator at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. Prior to joining Northeastern, Montes has worked as an advisor to help individuals set and achieve their personal and career goals both on and off a college campus since 2003.

At Northeastern, Montes’ role includes educating and preparing students to be successful when participating in co-op positions for Khoury College. Working closely with employers, Montes helps develop jobs that fit with a student’s interests and abilities.

Montes enjoys working directly with students, learning from their experiences, and developing effective teaching and coaching techniques that focus on educating students about careers while empowering them to be successful.

Montes believes computing has become an important part of our lives and Khoury College has a direct impact on society through problem solving, logic, and creativity.
