Biography
Wendy Truran is an associate teaching professor in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Boston.
Truran, who teaches technical and professional communications, enjoys creating experiential learning opportunities for students to challenge themselves and fulfill their potential. She loves working with students and designing materials that engage and excite them, ensuring that what they learn is applicable in their studies and beyond.
Before joining Khoury College, Truran was the Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellow at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, where she was part of the Writing and Communication Program. She has worked as a publishing editor in the United Kingdom and an ESL teacher in Japan. Outside of Northeastern, she is the co-editor-in-chief at Capacious: Journal for Emerging Affect Inquiry and series editor for Imbricate! Press.
