Biography

Vedant Das Swain is a Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Boston.

Das Swain focuses on how workers can leverage the technology around them to gain insight into behavioral health and find ways to thrive. He aims to solve technical and design-level challenges, identifying meaningful algorithmic insights and developing usable inference systems that people trust.

Das Swain joined Khoury College due to its growing culture of interdisciplinary research in human–computer interaction and health informatics. Before that, he led multiple research projects involving longitudinal field studies, passively sensed behavioral health data, and applied computational analysis and machine learning while pursuing his doctorate at Georgia Tech.
