Smruthi Mukund is a part-time lecturer in algorithms and machine learning at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. They earned their bachelor’s in electrical and electronics from the BMS College of Engineering, their master’s in computer science and engineering from SUNY Buffalo, and PhD in computer science from SUNY Buffalo.

Alongside teaching, they currently manage a team of machine learning and software engineers at Twitter. Most recently they worked as an Applied Scientist with Amazon’s Lab 126 where they built ML algorithms for Alexa.

In their free time, Mukund enjoys playing with their dog.
