Biography
As director of recruitment operations for Khoury College Computer Sciences, Samol Ork plays an active role in broadening the participation and persistence of underrepresented minorities pursuing a career in STEM. Finding pipeline pathways and creating awareness as part of the solution to inject more diverse talent into the STEM field remains a high priority for Ork.
A seasoned practitioner in higher education, Ork began his career in higher education working at the Transfer Center at Santa Ana College in California before going to work at University of Redlands as counselor, advisor and then campus director at two regional locations in Southern California. He has a bachelor’s degree from Concordia University, a master’s degree in educational counseling from University of Redlands, and a doctor of education in organizational leadership from Northeastern University.
