Biography

Rudaiba Adnin is a Khoury Distinguished Fellow and doctoral student in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Boston. She is advised by Maitraye Das. 

Adnin’s research focuses on computer-supported cooperative work, human–computer interaction, accessible computing, and artificial intelligence. Drawing on her own background as a woman of color from Bangladesh, she is motivated to make technology more accessible and equitable for marginalized people, including people with disabilities. Currently, she is studying the intersection of AI and accessibility for blind and low-vision people. 

Prior to joining Khoury College in 2023, Adnin was a research collaborator in Bangladesh working around nonprofit organizations and online learning. Her work was featured at CSCW and ACM COMPASS, and earned best paper honors at ACM NSysS. Adnin also worked as a database engineer at Therap BD, carrying out R&D, data, and scripting tasks. 

Adnin’s hobbies include reading novels and research papers, as well as creating tutorials on YouTube. She enjoys watching anime, K-Dramas, and C-Dramas.
