Biography

Paul Murphy is the director of internal communications and editorial content in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Boston. 

Murphy joined Khoury College in 2022 to help plan the college's 40th anniversary, overseeing communications planning and editorial content for the network-wide celebration. He chose to stay after the anniversary concluded and now serves on the senior communications team, where he oversees Khoury News, messaging for the college, and editorial content on the Khoury website, as well as internal communications from the dean and senior leadership. Murphy believes that computer science is a powerful tool, and that the college’s mission — as exemplified in its oath and mission of “CS for everyone” — ensures that Khoury graduates go out into the world prepared to benefit society with their work. 

Murphy previously held senior communications and marketing roles at the MGH Institute of Health Professions and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Outside of his work at Khoury College, Murphy runs a small business selling vintage collectibles, and is active in local community theater as an actor and director.
