Biography
Pamela Allen is the regional director of graduate recruitment at Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. Allen earned a master’s in Organizational Leadership and an MBA in Marketing, both from University of Redlands.
Prior to joining Northeastern, Allen served in several leadership roles at the University of Redlands over her 12-year career in higher education, including senior associate director for events and outreach, regional director of recruitment for Los Angeles, and campus director. Helping prospective students on their educational journey and seeing them achieve their dreams and career goals are what drive her most.
Allen is excited to be a part of Khoury College because of its mission to make computer science for everyone. One of Pamela’s mottos is “If they see it, they can achieve it,” which highlights the importance of representation. As a black woman who personally knows the importance of representation and diversity in all fields, and computer science in particular, Allen is committed to fostering relationships with community organizations that serve underrepresented communities, as well as helping prospective students from all backgrounds understand that Khoury College is a place where everyone belongs and can thrive.
Allen considers it an honor to contribute to the work that Khoury College is currently doing to increase the number of graduates among populations traditionally underrepresented in computer science.
