Biography
Neda Changizi is a clinical instructor in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Vancouver.
Changizi is an experienced software developer and educator who is passionate about supporting her students on their computing journeys. After obtaining her master’s in computer science in 2010, she explored a variety of research, development, and managerial roles in industry before joining the faculty of the British Columbia Institute of Technology’s School of Computing. While teaching courses in software development, UX/UI, information security, and project management, Changizi founded her own company designing and building an app to support Farsi-speaking users in their mindfulness meditation practice.
Changizi began lecturing with Khoury College part time in 2022 before joining as a full-time clinical instructor in 2024. She teaches courses in web development and mobile application development, topics she’s drawn to because of their practicality and applicability. As such, her favorite part of teaching is her students’ pride in themselves when they apply a technique learned in class to solve a real problem.
In her free time, Changizi is passionate about her own mindfulness meditation practice, which helps her to bring patience and compassion into her classroom.

Changizi is an experienced software developer and educator who is passionate about supporting her students on their computing journeys.
