Biography
Mahya Payamshad is an assistant director of graduate student services at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. She received her master’s in education with a concentration in curriculum, teaching and learning from the University of Manitoba-Canada. Prior to joining Northeastern, she worked as an educational assistant at École South Pointe in Winnipeg, Canada.
In Payamshad’s role, she advises graduate students and assists them in achieving their goals during their academic journey. Her favorite part of the job is being able to see each student and each advising interaction as unique, and adapt her style, strategies, and methods based on the student’s needs and situation. Payamshad loves the energy of working on a college campus and enjoys helping students achieve their professional and academic goals. She believes the culture at Khoury College is welcoming, diverse and well-connected, which helps everyone constantly learn.
