Biography

Liudas Panavas is a doctoral student at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, advised by Cody Dunne. His doctoral research, which he began in 2020 and aims to complete in 2025, focuses on data visualization. 

In particular, Panavas is applying virtual reality and immersive analytics to find new insights, and examining whether basic graphical perception applies as widely as once thought. He has served as a teaching or research assistant at multiple universities across the United States and Europe, and is a researcher at the McNair Aerospace Center in South Carolina. At Northeastern, Panavas is affiliated with the Visualization Lab and is a member of the PhD Curriculum Committee.
