Biography

Jiaji Huang is a part-time lecturer at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Silicon Valley. 

Outside of teaching, Huang is a senior applied scientist with Amazon Web Services’ machine learning algorithm team, where he researches large language models with human preferences. He was previously a senior research scientist and tech lead at Baidu Research working on speech recognition and language models. In understanding these models, Huang hopes to train them more quickly and make their inference abilities more efficient. 

Huang joined Khoury College in 2023. In teaching, he sees opportunities to take a broader view of his research area, mentor students, and meet leading researchers and educators.
