Biography
Jay DeYoung is a doctoral student at Northeastern University's Khoury College of Computer Sciences, advised by Byron Wallace. Jay is interested in developing novel approaches with a large impact across computer science disciplines; his areas of research include artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, and natural language processing. He is interested in working on subjects ranging from deep learning, to question answering systems and optimal dataset collection.
Jay earned both his undergraduate degree in computer science, applied mathematics, and statistics, and his graduate degree in computer science from Johns Hopkins University. After spending some time in the industry, Jay chose to pursue his doctorate at Northeastern.
