Biography
Clifton Forlines is an associate research professor at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. His research primarily focuses on human-computer interaction. He is affiliated with the Northeastern University Visualization Consortium (NUVis).
Forlines earned his doctorate in computer science from the University of Toronto and his master’s in human-computer interaction from Carnegie Mellon. Prior to joining Northeastern in 2021, he was a startup founder and was involved in industrial and academic research. Notable journals Forlines has published in include ACM and CHI. A fun fact about him is despite entering a career in computing, he enjoys building things with his hands.
