Biography
Boce Hu is a doctoral student in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Boston. He is advised by Robert Platt.
Within the Helping Hands Lab, Hu researches robotics with a focus on leveraging robotic manipulation through deep reinforcement learning. He is passionate about enabling robots to perform self-reflection and innovation, as well as developing perception, planning, and control algorithms for robotic manipulation in unstructured environments. He thrives on creating novel ideas, designing meaningful tools, delving into complex coding issues, and finding elegant, efficient solutions.
Prior to joining Khoury College in 2023, Hu worked at the Robotics and Rehabilitation Lab at Columbia University.
