Biography
Arasu Narayan is a part-time lecturer at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University's Seattle campus. He earned both his bachelor's in applied mathematics and his MCA from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, his master's in data science from Northwestern University, his MBA in operations research from Indira Gandhi National Open University, and his PhD in natural language processing from Nova Southeastern University. His teaching areas include natural language processing, machine learning, statistical learning, and data visualization courses.
Narayan's research areas include artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing and information retrieval.
Prior to joining Northeastern, he has been in the database development space for more than 15 years and moved to the data science and machine learning field 10 years ago.
