Biography
Amy Tonkonogy is the director of creative media at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. She received her bachelor’s in communications from Northeastern University and her master’s in education in curriculum and instruction from Lesley University. In her role, she is responsible for all creative content creation, media strategy, and for sharing the incredible stories of students, faculty, alumni, and researchers dedicated to Khoury’s CS for Everyone mission. In addition to overseeing video production, photography, visual brand, and graphic creation, Amy also oversees khoury.northeastern.edu.
Prior to joining Northeastern, Amy worked as Executive Producer for Education at WGBH, public television’s flagship media producer. There, she produced a broad range of educational materials for broadcast television and for use in educational settings ranging from K-12, higher education, and lifelong learning.
Amy’s career exists at the intersection of media and strategic communications, authentic storytelling, learning theory, thoughtful collaboration, and innovation. She is inspired by people and the genuine experiences that they have to share.
