Biography
Amy Tonkonogy is the director of creative media at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. She received her Bachelor of Science in communications from Northeastern University and her Master of Education in curriculum and instruction from Lesley University. She leads media and brand strategy across Khoury’s creative teams, including photography, videography, graphic design, physical space, and the Khoury College website. Amy also elevates Khoury's story by sharing the global experiences of students, faculty, alumni, and researchers dedicated to the college's overarching mission of CS for everyone.
Prior to joining Northeastern, Amy worked as Executive Producer for Education at GBH, public television’s flagship media producer. There, she produced a broad range of media for broadcast television and internet streaming, and for use in settings ranging from K-12 and higher education to lifelong learning.
Amy’s career exists at the intersection of media and strategic communications, authentic storytelling, learning theory, thoughtful collaboration, and innovation. She is inspired by people and the genuine experiences that they have to share.
