Biography
Alejandro H. Toselli is a professor in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. He’s interested in designing neural models for document analysis and recognition. In 2014, Toselli received his doctorate in computer science from Universitat Politècnica de València. He received his electrical engineering degree in 1997 from the National University of Tucumán in Argentina, where he studied in the faculty of science and technology.
Toselli was a postdoctoral researcher at the Institut de Recherche en Informatique et Systèmes Aléatoires in Rennes, France, where he worked with the research group, Recognition and Interpretation of Images and Documents. He also has experience as a full-time researcher in the Pattern Recognition and Human Language Research Center at Universitat Politècnica de València. Toselli has actively participated in different projects based in Europe, such as tranScriptorium, Recognition and Enrichment of Archival Documents (READ), and HIstorical MANuscript Indexing for user-controlled Search (HIMANIS), to name a few.
