University Ceremony Information

Undergraduate and Graduate student Commencement exercises will take place on Friday, May 13 at Boston’s historic Fenway Park. Further information about time and tickets will be confirmed at a later date. Both ceremonies will take place rain or shine. For more details, check the FAQ page, which will be updated frequently with all the latest information.

Cap and Gown Pickup

Graduates are to keep their cap and gown after the celebration to then wear at the University Commencement at Fenway on Friday, May 13. Regalia is specific to Khoury College, and graduates will not be allowed to participate in regalia from other colleges.

Diploma Information

Students completing their degree in the spring term will have their degree mailed out 5-6 weeks after the Fenway commencement ceremony.

Photography and Video Recordings

Photography: Your photo will be taken after you walk down from the stage before you return to your seat.

Stage Video Clip: The day after the celebration, you will receive an email to your student husky account with a link to a free video clip of you crossing the stage. You will need to complete a short survey before downloading the clip.

Celebration Livestreaming and Video: The celebration will be livestreamed, and a recording will also be available online shortly after the celebration date. The livestream will be on this page during the celebration.

Guests from outside the country

The University does not provide letters to graduates as a means for their guests to apply for a visa from their country to attend the graduation ceremony.

The Office of Global Services recommends using copies of the following documents instead:

  • Graduation Application
  • Enrollment Verification Letter
  • E-mail(s) directed to the graduate with ceremony information
  • Letter of Invitation Information

Venue Admittance Policy:

  • Guest access by ticket only, general seating.
  • No re-entry.
  • Venue and / or event personnel reserve the right to remove any object from persons if deemed inappropriate or unsafe.
  • The only animals allowed into the ceremony are those serving as guide, signal or service to aid guests or graduates with disabilities. Guests escorted by service animals may not take up additional seats.
  • All guests are subject to search, as the discretion of the venue security personnel, of their person and/or possessions (including women’s handbags of normal size that may be allowed entry after such search.)
  • No storage or check area is available for prohibited items.
  • Confiscated items will be discarded.
  • Enforcement will be without exceptions.

  • Backpacks, bags larger than 12”x12”x12” or briefcases

  • Wrapped gifts
