TAMID Group at Northeastern

Experiential learning through business

TAMID Group is a nonprofit, nondenominational organization committed to cultivating professional skills for undergraduate students through hands-on interaction with Israeli businesses.

Members study the entrepreneurship world and analyze the factors that have led to Israel’s place in the startup and tech economies. By competing in TAMID’s global stock pitch competition and participating in a summer internship program in Israel, TAMID members build the skills and connections they need for careers in software consulting and investment.

All members begin on the education track, where they learn key soft skills, receive support creating a resume and applying for co-ops, and are mentored through their first startup consulting experiences. Members then choose from the software consulting, consulting, and investment fund tracks. On the software consulting track, members produce software for each client; past deliverables include client-facing website applications and optimized machine learning algorithms. For the consulting track, members produce one deliverable for each client; past deliverables range from market entry strategy documentation to customer satisfaction research documentation. The investment fund track splits into four to five teams that pitch stock in different coverage groups and manage their own portfolio of securities; these teams won both cycles of the TAMID Nationals Stock Pitch Competition in fall 2023.

Beyond enriching me with technical and soft skills, TAMID constantly pushes me to grow and presents me with new learning opportunities. I’ve found myself in an environment where learning is a continuous journey, not just through formal tracks but also from the members around me. This community has truly become my second home, where I’m challenged to be the best version of myself while cherishing every step of the way
