NU Boston ACM-W
Description:
The mission of our ACM-W Student Chapter is to support, celebrate, and advocate for women in computing at our university. We aim to provide a supportive community that empowers female students in computer science and related fields through professional development, mentorship, networking, and educational opportunities. Our purpose is to foster diversity and inclusion within the tech industry, bridge the gender gap in computing, and inspire the next generation of women leaders in technology. Through workshops, talks, events, and outreach programs, we strive to create an environment where every student can thrive and succeed in their computing careers.
This initiative was spearheaded by SHEROS of Color, a dynamic graduate club dedicated to empowering women of color in STEM fields. Driven by the motivation of SHEROS of Color, NU Boston ACM-W Student Chapter aims to bring valuable resources and opportunities to our university, ensuring that women in computing, particularly those from underrepresented groups, have a strong support system as they navigate their academic and professional paths.
