Husky Bytes (Vancouver)

Pushing the boundaries of knowledge through research

Husky Bytes is a dedicated club on the Vancouver campus that’s committed to empowering students, particularly those majoring in Computer Science or Data-related fields. Our primary goal is to facilitate the development of small-scale side projects that leverage students’ existing skills and knowledge. We believe that students possess a wealth of valuable skills, akin to building blocks, ready to be utilized in creating meaningful projects. These initiatives not only enrich students’ portfolios but also serve as a springboard for exploring professional interests and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. We provide a dynamic platform for students to network with peers and industry professionals, encouraging collaborative exploration of ideas. Furthermore, we host a variety of activities such as theme-centered hackathons and workshops, providing hands-on learning experiences and opportunities for skill enhancement.
