Girls Who Code, Boston

We’re on a mission to close the gender gap in tech.

Girls Who Code Northeastern aims to close the gender gap in computing by engaging girls between the ages of 13 and 17 in coding.

Girls in grades 6–12 are invited to join a free computer science club run by Khoury College undergraduate computer science students, who teach a club-provided curriculum. The curriculum introduces computer science concepts through self-guided modules while highlighting famous women in the field. The group further emphasizes women’s participation in CS by creating a strong network of female peers and role models for their adolescent members.

Girls Who Code Northeastern is a part of the larger Girls Who Code organization, an international nonprofit that has engaged more than half a million women and nonbinary people in coding since its founding in 2012.
