Generate Product Development Studio

Northeastern’s product development studio

Generate is a student-run product development studio that develops a range of physical and digital products for clients, both at Northeastern and in the wider Boston community. The club values compassion, spirit, collaboration, boldness, and curiosity, and aims to promote those characteristics in its 100+ members through workshops, regular events, a retreat, an end-of-semester showcase, and a makerspace.

Since its founding in 2016, Generate has developed everything from mental health apps to automated hockey passing machines to seaweed farming mechanisms to financial literacy platforms, all for free. This diverse range of products enables members to build skills in client management, hands-on product development, and event planning.

Generate is a community first and foremost, and our members truly embody this. Each and every one of them brings unique skills and experiences to our interdisciplinary team and helps to create something truly unique
