Message from Dean Carla Brodley

Our twin beliefs – that computer science is for everyone, and for every industry – is at the core of the extraordinary gift made by Amin and Julie Khoury that named our college.  The university celebrated their historic gift in an academic celebration on April 10^th, which you can read about here.

The Khourys’ game-changing gift signifies a partnership for the future: that computer science and artificial intelligence are relevant to every field. We are responding to this demand: The Khoury College of Computer Sciences has emerged as a force in a community of innovators, educators, and leaders who are integrating computer science and AI into every industry and all parts of life.

As we celebrate this gift, we look to the work of our students, faculty, and alumni that exemplify the many bonds that exist and will flourish among technology, data, and human pursuits. This newsletter highlights the exciting work taking place across the Khoury College community – what better way to celebrate this historic moment than by highlighting our collective achievements, which I see as a preview of more to come.

As transformational as the gift is, the truth is we would not be where we are today without the ongoing support of our entire community. Thank you to all the alumni, parents, and friends from so many sectors who continue to support Khoury College.
