The coronavirus outbreak has upended education at every level, and students need more support from their teachers than ever before. But developing an online course often requires months of planning and preparation, and educators do not have this kind of time amidst a global pandemic. Professor Martin Schedlbauer, Khoury College’s director for online faculty and programs, has been teaching in virtual classrooms since 1999. His advice to educators is to remain calm, compassionate and prepared to make adjustments that help themselves and their students navigate these unprecedented circumstances.
