Undergraduate
Co-ops and Internships
The Northeastern University advantage
Northeastern’s renowned cooperative education program — going strong since 1909 — is ranked #1 nationally. Co-ops give you a head start on your career as you integrate your classroom skills and knowledge to solve real-world problems working with industry partners — all while building a professional network (and standout résumé) before you even finish college.
Many students go on to find job opportunities with their co-op companies — in Boston, in the vicinities of our regional campuses, and with partners around the world — at a wide range of for-profit and nonprofit organizations, big and small.

The value of working with Khoury students
The CEO and founder of Outcomes4Me, an app and website that provides personalized, evidence-based navigation for cancer patients, talks about what sets Khoury co-op students apart: “Over the years, it’s been a very, very good program … one of the best, in my opinion.”

Internships: Gain experience before co-op
Khoury College, in partnership with Northeastern’s Career Design team, supports our first-year students looking to build their résumé to seek internships during the summer after freshman year. While not required, internships are a great way to develop hands-on knowledge in your field — especially in fields that may not offer co-ops — and propel you to success.
