NU Sci Magazine
Northeastern University’s student-run science magazine
NU Sci is Northeastern’s student-run, student-written science magazine. They publish with the goal of informing their audience of the wonders of human discovery and progress in the world around us. The magazine seeks to disseminate the latest information about science news, whether at the microscopic level or in the deepest reaches of space, in a simple and universally accessible format — offering readers clear, high-quality, and well-researched journalism with an open mind and a sense of humor. They believe that when removed from a bland textbook format, science can be not only a field to discuss, but something astounding and inspiring.
NU Sci publishes two print issues per semester and online articles year-round. Members can join any of their teams: writing, photography, design, social media and outreach, and web and software. Each team teaches members the industry standards in the field — from journalism style to design software to web development — with no prior experience required.
