Impact, innovate, and create

Google Developer Student Club, Northeastern University – Boston works to empower students to impact their communities through technology. The club is the Northeastern chapter of the larger GDSC organization, which operates more than 2,000 collegiate chapters around the globe.

With support from Google and Google’s developers, GDSC hosts information sessions, hands-on workshops, competitions, and student–community collaborative projects centered around the latest technologies, ranging from cloud computing and AI/ML to the blockchain. The club has also hosted workshops on GitHub, cybersecurity, navigating data science leadership as a minority student, and the Google Summer of Code program.

There is no barrier to entry, and GDSC encourages students of diverse backgrounds who are interested in learning more about technology to join a session. The club’s members can expect to develop technical familiarity with emerging technologies, as well as social, communication, presentation, and organization skills.

Enthusiasm to learn is the only requirement to be a club member
