Disrupt: The FinTech Initiative

Let’s build a fintech community together

Disrupt is Northeastern’s one-stop shop for all things financial technology. The club offers a weekly guest speaker or technology workshop and helps students gain consulting experience with fintech firms in Boston. Disrupt also hosts an eight-week startup challenge called Finnovate in which student groups develop fintech prototypes to pitch to judges for cash prizes.

Disrupt’s 100 members build technical skills like Python and SQL, as well as more general skills such as creative thinking and pitching to investors. Disrupt members also publish research articles, including opinion pieces and technical reports, to further their insight into the industry.
