null NEU
Fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for cybersecurity among students
null NEU is a vibrant, student-led community of cybersecurity enthusiasts affiliated with the larger null open security community. The chapter aims to spread awareness about the importance of cybersecurity, establish a repository of security knowledge, and encourage the pursuit of advanced security research.
Through workshops, speaker events, and collaborative projects, null NEU helps its 100+ members develop technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, communication skills, awareness of cybersecurity’s ethical and legal implications, and general networking and research ability. Members can also produce deliverables, including published articles, research papers, cybersecurity software tools and scripts, and even educational materials like guides, tutorials, and online courses. They may also have the opportunity to travel with the club for cybersecurity conferences, workshops, and competitions.
To engage with the Boston community, null NEU conducts workshops and seminars on cybersecurity awareness for local schools, colleges, and community groups. They also consult for local businesses and organizations or partner with them for cybersecurity projects, and participate in community service activities that promote digital safety and security awareness. All of null NEU’s outreach efforts aim to spread cybersecurity knowledge and promote safe online practices.
Our chapter provides an inclusive space for students to connect, share ideas, and collaborate on initiatives that promote a safer digital world
