Aayushi Gautam is a doctoral student in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, based in Boston. She is advised by Gene Cooperman. 

Gautam’s work focuses on deep debugging, a technique for efficiently debugging multithreaded programs that combines transparent checkpointing with model checking. She is fascinated by model checking because it offers a systematic way to verify the correctness of complex systems. For Gautam, unearthing novel discoveries and unraveling the intricacies of these systems is the most compelling aspect of her work. She believes that conducting research is not just creative, but the epitome of creative pursuits. Gautam joined Khoury College in 2022. 

Outside of her research, Gautam enjoys music and exploring new cultures.
