Biography
Mehdi Arjmand is a PhD student at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University. He earned his bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of Tehran. He is part of the Relational Agents Group and was on the program committee for the International Conference on Multimodal Interaction in 2023.
Arjmand’s research focus is human-computer interaction and multimodal interaction, and he is interested in automatically understanding and applying multimodal approaches to better understand human verbal and nonverbal behavior when interacting with computers. His faculty advisor is Timothy Bickmore.
In his free time, he enjoys playing the saxophone.
