Biography
Ohida Binte Amin is a PhD student at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences. She earned her bachelor’s in computer science and engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology. Amin is part of the Signal Processing and Artificial Intelligence for Time Variant Health Data Lab.
She is interested in exploring applications of machine learning to improve personal health monitoring and healthcare systems. She initially started her research on identifying early signs of heightened mental stress and depression and delivering proper interventions for them using AI/ML. Amin has received the speaker grant at PyCon US 2022, and the Fatima Al-Fihri Predoctoral Fellowship. Her faculty advisor is Aarti Sathyanarayana.
Outside of work, Amin enjoys singing and watching movies.
