My Background

I grew up in Connecticut, and have lived in both New York City and Boston. I received my bachelor’s degree in business from Nichols College and worked in software sales at a tech company.

My Future

What really intrigued me about the Align program was the ability to go from zero coding experience to being a full-fledged graduate computer science student. As someone with a business undergraduate degree, this program was the exact bridge I needed to get a solid foundation of computer science before heading into the actual graduate program.

My fiancée went to Northeastern for her undergraduate degree and really liked the rigorous curriculum and co-op program, which was an instrumental part in her job search out of college.

The bridge courses did a great job of starting slow and building quickly but not in an out-of-control way. When entering the full-time graduate program, I was able to hold my own with the direct-entry graduate students.

I would like to continue my career in the tech industry. To me, it seems that the pay is higher, the work-life balance is better, and the projects are new and exciting compared to other industries.
