Krista Richmond is a part-time lecturer at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University’s Vancouver campus. Her areas of teaching include artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and digital transformation. She earned her bachelor’s from the University of British Columbia, executive certificate in strategy and innovation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and her diploma in International Trade and Transportation Logistics from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
Richmond’s 20+ year career in the cleantech industry includes leadership of innovation, data science and project management. In her previous role as Director of Innovation and Partnerships, she was responsible for the company wide adoption of digital technology and analytics. Prior to this she served as the Director, Operations – Western Canada for Schneider Electric leading the transformation from physical to digitized products, specializing in IOT and AI predictive service. Leading teams in data science, innovation and IT has led to hands-on experience designing and implementing the foundational data operations and governance required for successful implementation of emerging technology. Richmond teaches the “AI for Growth” course at Northeastern University, is a Board Member for the Women in Communications and Technology Association and is completing her studies in Strategy and Innovation from MIT.
In her free time, Richmond can be found on the water, surfing, sailing, or fishing.
