Biography

Jeffrey Gleason is a doctoral student at the Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University, advised by Christo Wilson. His doctoral research, which he began in 2021 and expects to complete in 2026, focuses on algorithm auditing. Before joining Northeastern, Gleason worked at New Knowledge—where he identified and characterized disinformation campaigns—and Kungfu.ai, where he worked on time series forecasting and remote sensing research. He also volunteered with Measure’s research and advocacy teams. Gleason is a member of Khoury College’s Algorithm Auditing Research Group, and designs controlled experiments to evaluate sociotechnical systems and their societal impact. He is particularly interested in the economic and political power wielded by large digital platforms such as Google, Amazon, and Facebook.
